What Training Workshops Do We Run?


SGA offer a number of problem analysis and problem solving workshops for delivery at the customers site. A short description of each one is shown below along with a link to the full workshop outline.

We can change each workshop to suite your requirements so if you see something that isn't quite right for your needs just contact us and we will consider how we can tailor a solution for you.

The format of all workshops consist of a number of short theory sessions supported by practical application of techniques and methods on case studies and real world situations supplied by your delegates.

Risk Management for Action Planning

1 day duration

This workshop is for anyone required to create robust plans, carry out actions with a high degree of success, or manage risk in general. By the end of the workshop you will;

  • have improved your ability to anticipate problems based on rational 'cause and effect'
  • learn techniques which will improve your ability to plan for success
  • learn methods which will improve your ability to manage risk
  • be able to tackle planning more confidently and hence reduce the stress caused by 'reactionary' management
  • learn specific techniques which are applicable in a wide variety of real world situations
  • have made a start on improving one of your own 'live' risk issues

A Structured Approach to Problem Analysis

2 day duration

This workshop is for anyone who regularly encounters technical, organisational, reoccurring, or similar types of problems and who requires a consistent approach to problem analysis. By the end of the workshop you will;

  • have improved your ability to analyse problems based on rational 'cause and effect'
  • be able to tackle problem solving more confidently and hence reduce the stress caused in a problem situation
  • learn specific techniques which are applicable in a wide variety of real world problem situations
  • have made a start on improving one of your own 'live' problem issues

A Structured Approach to Problem Solving

3 day duration

This workshop combines the main methods of 'A Structured Approach to Problem Analysis' and ' Risk Management for Action Planning' to give the delegate a more complete view of how to approach rational problem solving and minimising the risk of problems in the future. By the end of the workshop you will;

  • have improved your ability to solve problems based on rational 'cause and effect'
  • learn techniques which will improve your ability to plan for success
  • learn methods which will improve your ability to manage risk
  • be able to tackle problem solving more confidently and hence reduce the stress caused in a problem situation
  • learn specific techniques which are applicable in a wide variety of real world situations
  • have made a start on improving one of your own 'live' risk or problem issues
